How to Use Journaling to Conquer Your Fears
The first episode of Season 4 with Chloe Barnes inspired me to create a #FacingFear episode around how to use journaling to conquer your fears. I firmly believe you can journal your way out of fear with pen and paper.
I provide four steps to help you get started, stay motivated to write and work through your journaling to discover what your fearful of and how you can move past it. I also get incredibly vulnerable and share a poem that 13-year-old Sara wrote way back in the day about facing fear. Looking back through my own journals made me realize this mission has been within me all along, how incredible is that?
Have no idea where to start with journaling? I've got your back. I drop a monthly newsletter (subscribe here!) with a short blog from me and a writing prompt for you. Here's the last two newsletter prompts to get your started:
When was the last time you caught yourself comparing your life to someone else’s? What can you be proud of yourself for now?
How would you describe yourself without using parent, sibling, boss, athlete, student, employee, etc? Spend some time this month thinking about who you are underneath all of those titles.
